Welcome to our Nursery
Kiddlywinks Nursery is part of a family home and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere reflects this. We have two rooms. The larger room provides plenty of space for creative work, music, all forms of active and messy play, dressing up, books and computer work. The other room is used for groups of children who wish to play a little more quietly and the same sorts of activities are available.
We have a large, safe, walled garden and play area with a Wendy House, swings, slides and climbing equipment and plenty of other outdoor toys and activities. The children are able to access the outdoor area for most of each session if they wish.
Our aim is to offer top quality care, education and fun for children from the age of 2 years. We offer both full and part-time places for children, providing the opportunity for them to play together and to relate to other children and adults, at their own pace. We aim to ensure that we meet all the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of the children and work to the Early Years Foundation Stage. We give the children individual attention and assess their needs as individuals in order that we are able to provide the right things to help each child progress at their best rate and make the maximum progress they can.
Ofsted regularly inspect all nurseries to ensure we meet the statutory requirements for learning, development and care for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Kiddlywinks had a successful inspection in February 2009 and we have completed the bronze stage of the North Yorkshire Quality Assurance scheme.
